What to Expect

The Immersive Experience

Immersive experiences are popping up all over Los Angeles County — so what makes the Little Women Ballet Immersive Experience different? Here are the three things that set ours apart, and why each one is worth experiencing for yourself.

We Are the Only Ballet Immersive

Unlike any other immersive in Los Angeles, ours is the only one built around a live ballet performance. You'll watch fifteen-minute vignettes of the Little Women story told entirely through dance — and you'll see them up close.

Most ballet lives on a distant proscenium stage. Ours unfolds inside the historic Victorian houses of Heritage Square Museum, placing you just feet from the dancers. You won't simply watch the story — you'll feel yourself drawn inside it.

Step Back Into Los Angeles' Rich History

Little Women Ballet: The Immersive Experience takes place at Heritage Square Museum, home to eight Victorian-era structures saved from demolition. Each fifteen-minute vignette is performed inside one of these historic houses.

These buildings chronicle everyday life in Southern California from the close of the 19th century into the early 20th. It may not be Concord, Massachusetts, but Heritage Square gives our Little Women an authentic world to live in — so you'll experience both the ballet and the rich history of the homes, and the people who once lived in them.

Unique, Participatory Experiences for Our Guests

This isn't a sit-and-watch evening. Guests step into the story themselves — acting out one of Jo March's plays and learning Victorian social dances alongside the cast.

"The Autumn Immersive brings the beauty and artistry of ballet to a story beloved by all ages. Whether you're a lifelong devotee of the genre or experiencing it for the very first time, you'll see professional dancers perform up close — and then step into the story yourself, joining them for social dancing of your own. It's the perfect fall outing for the whole family, and just might become your newest seasonal tradition. Taking the floor is always a little daunting at first — but by the end, our guests find it as joyful as it is unforgettable."
